The Vegas Golden Knights are visiting the Philadelphia Flyers in Matinee action this afternoon and things are getting rather heated between the two teams in the second period.
Halfway through the period with the Flyers leading by a score of 2-1, Golden Knights forward Chandler Stephenson cross checked Flyers forward Garnet Hathaway in the face; take a look.
Chandler Stephenson was given a five-minute major and a misconduct for this cross-check on Garnet Hathaway
Stephenson, who is taking part in his firs game back from injury was assessed a 5-minute major and a game misconduct on the play while Hathaway stayed down as the Flyers came to his defence.
This is a play that just cannot happen and I wouldn't be surprised if Stephenson got a call from the Department of Player Safety rather shortly, not just because of the action, but the major that accompanied it.
