Artemi Panarin pleads guilty to illegal use of a weapon
Artemi Panarin will be reporting to New York Rangers within the next three weeks, however the 31-year-old probably wishes he was already in Manhattan if reports through a Russian media source are accurate.
The Rangers star left winger was caught firing a gun in the wrong place on July 6th on the territory of the Tumashevo tract of the Moshensky district and while the repercussions seem a bit lenient, he was required to pay an administrative fine and the gun in question was confiscated. According to reports Panarin pled guilty in the matter.
Panarin whose Rangers fell short of expectations last season has three years left on a contract better get his act together fast. Expectations in the Big Apple will be as high as they've ever been with the understanding that although they have a number of key players under contract for the foreseeable future and a new coach in Peter Laviolette that focusing and winning the Stanley Cup is the only acceptable objective to this point.
Panarin who will be relied upon for leadership and his scoring prowess open up the regular season October 12, 2023 at KeyBank Centre in Buffalo against cross state counterparts, the Buffalo Sabres.
