It appeared that Sonny Milano had found a new home in Anaheim. After years of being mismanaged within the Columbus Blue Jackets organization, Milano headed to Anaheim. Milano developed an incredible chemistry with Trevor Zegras and many felt he'd be part of the organization going forward.

Much to everyone's dismay he was not given a qualifying offer, part of the duo who caused John Tortorella's lament, with the Michigan goal is looking for a new home.

Milano has had a great year. Milano is at his best when he is being creative on the ice and helping drive offense, as seen with his pairing with Trevor Zegras, which caused the legions of orthodox hockey much pain.

Despite all of this, he has some flaws in his game, as he lacks the two-way play which undoubtedly, led to him being let go by Columbus.

There are still three potential suitors, speculated to be the St. Louis Blues, who just lost David Perron. They could afford him, as a cheaper option and still be helpful in the top six. Playing in Craig Berube's system could limit his lack of defensive play bolstered by the veterans there.

He could end up in Chicago, who have stripped everything down to the studs and would be useful in their top-six. The Blackhawks have a weak roster and with Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane on the outs, it'd be a smart option.

Lastly, he could fit into the New York Rangers system, as another youngster, he'd compete with Vitali Kravtsov, Sammy Blais, and, Kaapo Kakko for a spot.

His projected raise would put up him at $1.7 million, for his 42-point pace last season.

There is still time for him to find his new home before the next puck drop.
