Mitch Marner is one of the most talented players in the NHL, and after a great performance at the Four Nations, he's drawing immense praise from Brad Marchand, who has given the highest compliment possible to the 27-year old Maple Leafs superstar.
The Four Nations Face Off was a big hit for the NHL, with the Canadians coming out on top with one of the most loaded rosters in the history of the sport, with Brad Marchand happily calling out the Tkachuk's after the tournament was over.
Not only that, but the Boston Bruins captain has now heaped praise on his teammates and Toronto Maple Leafs star Mitch Marner in particular, who he states has always been one of his favourites, especially after finally getting to play with him on the biggest stage.
He's always been one of my favourite players as a fan of the game. I loved being his teammate.
With Marchand potentially on the trade market ahead of his pending free agency in the summer, this has piqued the interest of many fans around the league, especially in Toronto, as he could be a very intriguing target for the Maple Leafs.
However, both he and Marner are free agents this off-season, and if Marchand is potentially ready to leave the Bruins, he could indeed be looking to team up with the 27-year old Maple Leafs star given how much they enjoyed playing together.
Ultimately, there's a chance that they team up once more at the 2026 Olympic Games provided that Marchand makes the team once again, but with so much intrigue and speculation around both players at the trade deadline, this is a very interesting story to keep an eye on moving forward.
