Darryl Sutter and the Calgary Flames parted ways at the beginning of the off-season, but as more things slowly begin to emerge, we find out just how toxic the locker room culture actually was.

Mackenzie Weegar joined Missin' Curfew to detail what the locker room was like and reveal that Sutter and Mikael Backlund used to scream at each other contributing to how bad the state of the locker room became; take a look.

Weegar details how much Sutter would press Backlund on certain things, leading to the pair engaging in verbal arguments that were usually of the f*** you variety. Weegar also mentioned that he believes a change was needed because of how toxic the locker room had become.

It's also been reported that Backlund along with some of his Flames teammates were upset that he wasn't named captain, leading to the team never getting it together on or off the ice.

If that's really how bad things had gotten, I'm surprised Sutter wasn't let go sooner than this off-season. It seems that he was not only loathed by his team, but things were getting very volatile as well.
