Charlie McAvoy scores an incredible must see goal
If you thought Boston defender Charlie McAvoy was only good at defending and not contributing offensively, think again. McAvoy showed everyone last night that he has some serious offensive talent. In last nights home game against San Jose, McAvoy stickhandled through two sharks defenders and around Mario Ferraro and he tucked it past goalie James Reimer for a highlight reel goal. Check out the video replay below.
It might have only been his fourth goal of the season, but McAvoy showed he can stickhandle and make his way to the net. It was a beautiful goal as the Bruins took care of the Sharks easily in a 4-0 victory. It sure doesn't look like the Bruins can do anything wrong this season. In thirty-three games played this season, McAvoy has twenty-nine points. Recall McAvoy did not start the season due to a shoulder surgery he had in the offseason.
The Boston have to be thrilled that McAvoy returned to the lineup in November and has played so well. McAvoy will be patrolling the Bruins blueline for many years as he has become a cornerstone for this franchise.
