Chicago Blackhawks make announcement about Marian Hossa
Today Blackhawks' legend Marian Hossa signed a one-day contract with the franchise so he could retire with the franchise. The former Blackhawk ended his career as a member of the Arizona Coyotes after being traded to the desert for cap relief.
Hossa played 8 seasons with the Blackhawks and was apart of all 3 Stanley Cup wins for the Blackhawks between 2010 and 2015.
Tonight the Blackhawks took Hossa's retirement a step further as they announced they'll be retiring his number next season.
This is an amazing moment for Hossa as he will go down as the only player to ever wear the number 81 in Blackhawks history.
