Dylan Strome finally finds a long-term home, signs massive extension with the Washington Capitals
When Dylan Strome found himself a non-qualified free agent this summer, he was looking for an opportunity where he could find a home in the NHL. After 3.5 seasons with the Chicago Blackhawks. Strome found himself as non-tender candidate. This allowed him to become an unrestricted free agent.
Over the summer Strome turned down multiple offers before deciding on a one-year deal with the Washington Capitals. Strome made it clear his goal was to find a place for he, his wife and his daughter to call home. Well that's exactly what he's done.
Today the Washington Capitals announced that Strome had signed a 5-year contract worth $5,000,000 per season.
#caps announce a 5-year, $25 million extension for Dylan Strome.
So far this season Strome has played in 52 games, scoring 11 goals and adding 25 assists for 36 points. Strome has found himself recently playing on the Capitals 1st line, centering Alex Ovechkin and Conor Sheary. Congratulations to Dylan for securing his long-term NHL future.
