Mic'd up Josh Manson caught talking about free chicken on the Avs bench
Teams across the league have different promotions and partnerships. Partners often reward fans in attendance with free items like pizza slices, french fries or a variety of other food items for a good offensive output, usually 5 goals or more.
This season the Anaheim Ducks created a partnership to give away another kind of bird. The partnership rewarded any fans in attendance with free chicken from Chick-fil-A after the Ducks scored 5 or more goals. During last night's Colorado Avalanche game, veteran defenseman Josh Manson was reminiscing over his time in Anaheim while mic'd up on the bench.
In Anaheim if you get 5 goals, 5 or 6 goals, they get Chick-fil-A. They get free Chick-fil-A for the crowd. This place, these fans in Colorado this year...they would have gotten a lot of chicken.
It's always amazing to hear the things that go on during the game, but this might be my favorite. Manson was acquired by the Avalanche earlier this year from the Ducks and he is clearly enjoying his time in Denver.
