Mitch Marner puts his baseball skills on full display as he gets ready for next season
With NHL Training Camps about a month away, players are beginning to ramp up their off ice preparation for next season. While some players choose to spend their time in the gym, it appears Mitch Marner has opted to take some time away from the gym and has opted to get some practice with another Toronto based sports team. Before yesterday's game with the Cleveland Guardians Marner took some batting practice with the team.
While Marner is known for his hands on the ice, it appears the Leafs' star has some talents off of it as well. Hazel Mae of Sportsnet shared this video of Mitch Marner taking some rips during Jay's batting practice.
Like most professional hockey players, Marner played some baseball as a kid and it appears he still has a bit of that swing. Hopefully for the sake of the Maple Leafs, Marner can continue on his strong season from last year where he put up 97 points in 72 games.
