Montreal Canadiens' Kirby Dach wins it against former team, let's crowd know how he feels
The Chicago Blackhawks tore everything down to the studs in the off-season, trading away players like Alex DeBrincat and Kirby Dach.
Yesterday, Dach returned to Chicago only to net to shootout game winner. After which, he certainly let the crowd know how he felt as per Charlie Roumeliotis.
When you trade a player, coming back to the team they've known since the beginning is always emotional. When you trade a 21 year old, this is what happens.
After the game, Canadiens head coach Martin St. Louis had this to say on Dach's celebration as per Mark Lazerus of The Athletic.
If you give up on a player who is 21, whether that's in hockey or whatever, I think you haven't shown a lot of patience, and you maybe don't have the big picture in mind, or much of a growth mindset
This had to of been a difficult decision all around, but after the way he left town, to win a game over his former team and been directly involved must feel pretty good for Dach.
