Another game without Ryan Reaves for the New York Rangers, another team taking advantage of the team having no real identity.
Tonight, inside Madison Square garden taking on their rivals The New Jersey Devils and let's just say things aren't going as anticipated with Reaves gone, via Bleacher Report Open Ice
Ranger Forward Vincent Trocheck gets a little too close for Devils goaltender Viitek Vanecek's comfort and he certainly let him know with a slap across the face for his troubles.
I know Trocheck sold it rather well, I'll give him that, but the Rangers are still certainly dealing with teams taking more liberties than they ever have before, a trend that will continue if no one sticks up for their teammates.
I'm not the biggest fan of having a designated tough guy that plays 8 minutes a night and goes out there when a fight is needed, however, if you have no one on your team that will step in for one another, you might need one.
