One of the biggest hockey games in recent memory is set to go down on Saturday, and American Matthew Tkachuk has shown just how much it means to him, as he has now delivered a message to Team Canada ahead of their matchup, showing just how much this means to him.

Through the first two round robin games, the Four Nations Face Off has delivered thus far, with four of the best hockey nations in the world doing battle in very intense, fun showdowns.

Now however, the biggest matchup of all is on the way, as Team Canada will do battle with Team USA on Saturday night in what should be a raucous Bell Centre in Montreal.

It's something that fans have been waiting for seemingly since the end of the 2014 Olympic Games, but it's not just them, as Matthew Tkachuk has delivered a strong message ahead of the matchup.

I've thought about this game for nine years.

Sure, we've seen USA and Canada do battle at the World Juniors level and even at IIHF tournaments, but never in a best-on-best scenario like this, and given the tensions around the two nations on top of the immense talent, this is going to be an incredible matchup.

With names like Auston Matthews, Connor McDavid, Matthew Tkachuk, Nathan MacKinnon and so, so many more, this may be the most star studded matchup in hockey history, and on Saturday night in prime time, it should live up to the billing.

Tkachuk himself comes into this one on the back of a two goal night alongside two from his brother Brady, and with Canada just squeezing by Sweden in their first game, both teams are optimistic, so expect this one to be all it's hyped up to be and more.
