Now, the winners have rubbed it in the faces of the host nation, as a video has been revealed on social media that shows the team celebrating in their locker room, blasting Team Canada's goal song and celebrating one of the biggest wins in the history of the country.
Over the years there hasn't been much of a rivalry between the two teams, but given how dominant Canada have been in the sport and the tournament over the years, it's certainly no surprise that Czechia celebrate their victory in a big way.
While it's still a great win for a nation like Czechia, this is one of the weaker teams that Canada have sent in recent years, with many fans believing that more talent was left at home than brought to the tournament.
While Canada fought back to make it 3-3 late in the third period, Czechia were given a late powerplay which they capitalized on in a huge way, with Adam Jecho notching a one-timer that would eliminate Canada in dramatic circumstances.
This ends a dreadful tournament for Canada, with losses to the United States, Latvia and Czechia seeing them fail to medal for the second straight year, and while there's much bigger goals on the horizon for Czechia, it's hard to blame them for celebrating like this.
