14-year NHL veteran to leave North America this summer
After spending parts of 14 seasons in the National Hockey League, long-time goaltender Anton Khudobin is leaving North America.
According to Khudobin's agent, they've been negotiating with HC Lada Togliatti, who are returning to the KHL for the first time since 2018.
"When Anton decided to play in the KHL, goalkeepers were signed in almost all teams. Now we will negotiate with Lada. We agreed with the sports director of the club Rafik Yakubov to return to this issue next week." Khudobin's agent Alexander Chernykh said.
Khudobin, 37, spent his time in the National Hockey League with Minnesota, Boston, Carolina, Anaheim, Dallas and Chicago. In 260 games, he had a record of 114-92-33 with a 2.52 GAA, a .916 save percentage and 11 shutouts.
While with Dallas, the Ust-Kamenogorsk (Kazakhstan) native had an incredible run, leading them to the 2020 Stanley Cup Final, where they lost to the Tampa Bay Lightning.
