John Tortorella has probably been one of the most colourful coaches in recent memory with his coaching tactics and antics during games and with his career starting to wind down, current and former players are coming out with incredible stories about how he is when the media isn't around.

Former NHL player, Brandon Prust appeared on the Missin' Curfew podcast and told a wild story about Tortorella during his time as head coach of the New York Rangers when Brad Richards was struggling early in the season; take a look.

Torts told Brad Richards to go out and do drugs because he was in a slump #NYR

When Richards and the New York Rangers were struggling during Richards first arrived in New York, Prust says that Tortorella told Richards to take part in some illegal activity while out with the guys including taking drugs to break his slump.

This is just a classic Tortorella story while trying to get a player more comfortable in their new environment. No doubt this is a joke, but with Torts you never really know.
