Anaheim Ducks place 28-year-old forward on waivers
After missing the start of the 2023-24 season due to an injury sustained in the pre-season, the Anaheim Ducks have placed a forward on the waiver wire.
Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman shared in a post on X that Ducks forward Chase De Leo is on waivers for the purpose of assigning him to the American Hockey League's San Diego Gulls.
"Chase De Leo (ANA) on waivers. He was injured during preseason on play that resulted in suspension to Arthur Kaliyev" De Leo, 28, returned to the Anaheim Ducks organization last season, where he skated in 22 games for the AHL's San Diego Gulls. In those 22 games, the La Mirada, California native had 23 points (nine goals, 14 assists), ten penalty minutes and had an even-rating.
