Arizona Coyotes sign former seventh overall pick to one-year deal
According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, the Arizona Coyotes have agreed to terms on a one-year contract in the $4 million range with unrestricted free agent defenceman Matt Dumba.
"Hearing Matt Dumba closing in with Arizona, one year at approximately $4M" Friedman said.
Dumba, 29, was the seventh overall pick in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft and went on to spend parts of ten seasons with the Minnesota Wild and has put up 236 points in 598 games.
The Coyotes have been fairly busy this summer. They signed top prospect Logan Cooley to a three-year, entry-level contract, while adding Alex Kerfoot, Jason Zucker, among others in free agency.
