When lethal goal scorer David Pastrnak stepped up for his shootout attempt last night, Bruins fans were eager to see what he could pull off. Unfortunately, Pastrnak pulled off the ultimate let down, by letting go a flubber of a wrist shot that lacked the usual power and precision that Colorado's goaltender, Alexandar Georgiev calmly turned aside.
Colorado's Valeri Nichushkin would score on his attempt to allow the home fans at Ball Arena to go home happy with the Avs taking the two points.
Bruins fans came out in full force on social media after the game condemning Pastrnak's shootout effort.
That's pretty harsh treatment of the leading scorer on their team. The 27 year old Pastrnak has 24 goals and 56 points in 39 games this season. Fans are a fickle bunch, I'm sure Pastrnak can quickly get them back on his side with a good performance against the Arizona Coyotes tonight.
