Report - Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs trying to finalize deal for Noah Hanifin
Calgary Flames defenceman Noah Hanifin's name has been in the rumour mill for months now and it seems inevitable that this will he his last season with the organization.
Hanifin is set to become an unrestricted free agent in July 2024 and it doesn't look like he'll be re-signing with the Flames, which could lead Craig Conroy to moving the 26-year-old.
According to Eklund of Hockey Buzz, the Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs are among the teams looking to trade for Hanifin.
"Quick hit hereNot a whole lot of info regarding the possible destinationsbut I was told this weekend there could be a deal in place.with either Toronto or Boston..outside chance of the Islanders.
I am told the Sabres are looking elsewheremore as I get it."
The Boston native is two seasons removed from his career high of 48 points and if he's put on a successful team like the Bruins, there's no doubt he'd be able to surpass that total.
So far this season, Hanifin has appeared in 27 games for the Calgary Flames, putting up 13 points (five goals, eight assists), four penalty minutes and is a minus-one while averaging a career high time on ice of 23:03.
