On Saturday night Kirby Dach left the game against the Chicago Blackhawks following a big hit. With a few minutes left in the first, Dach was sent flying into the Blackhawks' bench by Jarred Tinordi, a former first-round pick of the Habs. Coincidentally, Dach is a past third overall pick of the Blackhawks. Tinordi definitely got him good.
Everything looked to be nice and clean, which was backed up by there being no call on the play. Dach has been hit with significant injuries in three of his four seasons in the NHL so far. We'll have to wait on word of whether this will be another.
Perhaps Tinordi was attempting to get in good with Chicago's management team after this taunt from Dach on Blackhawks fans last season.
Today the Montreal Canadiens announced that Dach would be out long-term.
