Cole Sillinger responds to rumours that he cheated on Tate McRae
Rumours have circulated in recent months that Columbus Blue Jackets forward Cole Sillinger was in a relationship and then reportedly cheated on Canadian pop singer Tate McRae.
McRae is in Toronto as part of the All-Star Weekend as the celebrity captain of Team MacKinnon and the headliner of Saturday's performance and fans were pointing out, as joke obviously, that she made it to an All-Star Game before Sillinger.
In a post on Instagram, an account by the name of Blind_Ref_Logic shared an image that showed four images - one of Cole Sillinger, one of Sillinger with Tate McRae, and the other two of just McRae, broken down into the following four steps:
Step 1 - Be Cole Sillinger.
Step 2 - Date out of your league (Literally).
Step 3 - Cheat on her, jumpstarting her career.
Step 4 - She gets invited to the NHL All-Star Game before you.
Below the post, after months of likely seeing comments regarding the rumours on social media, Cole Sillinger responded.
"All false my guy." Sillinger said.
It's probably safe to say that we'll never know the true story of Cole Sillinger and Tate McRae, but hopefully everyone will be able to get back to watching him play hockey and her performing on an upcoming world tour and not having to worry about "he said, she said" rumours online.
