Nick Moroch used to be a loud and proud Dallas Stars fan, however as of November 3rd, that all changed. After a fender bender that night, he found himself in a little hot water.
As it turned out, he had an active warrant for his arrest, which stemmed from a probation violation after being convicted of driving while intoxicated.
Because Nick Moroch did not know that a warrant had been issued, he was arrested. His attorney had died suddenly and never got around to telling him about the outstanding warrant.
Currently, Nick is serving his term of conviction at Gateway Foundation Correctional Unit, in Wilmer, Texas, with an anticipated release date not until May 25, 2025.
Nick has been at the center of a few very public spats with TV personality Paul Bissonnette to add another layer to his larger-than-life persona.
Better known as the "glass banger," Nick went viral with Dallas Stars fans due to his high-octane antics during games.
This enthusiastic glass pounder behind the net, usually carrying a variety of signs, is a divisive and iconic hockey figure. He is relentless in his enthusiasm, grating on his fellow attendees, but obviously a fan of the team.
It has not been revealed yet whether Nick will be placed on early parole or whether he has to face the entire imprisonment that is set to run roughly another five months, but one thing's for sure, the Stars arena is going to be a little quieter going forward.
