Derek Lalonde ejected after losing his mind on an official
The Pittsburgh Penguins and the Detroit Red Wings are currently facing off in an eastern conference matchup. The Penguins are fighting to retain their wildcard spot while the Red Wings season is all but over. Despite their season being almost over the Red Wings head coach didn't allow that to impact the way he handled the situation tonight.
The Red Wings took a 3-0 lead in the 1st period, but that evaporated during the second. After the Penguins managed to push a puck across the goal line, the Red Wings challenged. After review it was determined there was no goalie interference on the play.
After the decision Lalonde absolutely lost his mind on the officials getting himself tossed from the game. After 2 periods the Red Wings are now without their head coach and the game tied at 3.
