Connor McDavid delivers concerning quote following loss to the Predators
Things have just gone from bad to worse for the Edmonton Oilers following a 5-2 loss on home ice against the Nashville Predators this afternoon, but what's even more concerning is the comments after the game.
With the mood in locker room somber as it is, Connor McDavid said something very concerning following a 2-7-1 start to the season when asked about the most frustrating part; take a look.
it's just d**** by 1000 cuts, you know, that's what it feels like. One little mistake and it costs us, another little mistake and it snowballs. Like I said, it's tough to chase games
With McDavid along with the rest of the Oilers feeling the heat, it doesn't seem like anyone is motivated to play the game at all right now, in fact, it looks like the best player in the world is slowly losing his passion for the game.
Can Edmonton do anything to turn the season around? Of course, but it needs to start now. One has to be wondering if a coaching change is in order, it looks like Woodcroft has lost the room. Ken Holland's days have to be numbered as well if things are going to change.
