Last night, the Edmonton Oilers and the Calgary Flames took the Battle of Alberta outdoors for the Heritage Classic. With the Oilers coming out on top 4-2, forward Evander Kane also proved that no one on the Calgary Flames is tough.
According to Sportsnet, Kane was mic'd up and while he was in the middle of a scrum, things got a little heated when he asked what anybody on the Calgary Flames would do; take a look.
Not long after, he sent Chris Tanev into the boards on what was a questionable hit and further proved that the Flames don't have the toughness it takes to stand up for their teammates.
If the Flames weren't willing to stand up for their teammates after a hit like that, I'm not sure they ever will.
The fact that Kane not only called them out, but proved his point after, is both hilarious and sad. The Flames so far this season just don't have what it takes to compete at a high level
