The Edmonton Oilers game 2 loss to the Florida Panthers in the 2024 Stanley Cup Final set off one Oilers fan who was taking in the game in at Amerant Bank Arena

Frustration is building among fans of the Edmonton Oilers following the team's game 2 loss to the Florida Panthers in the 2024 Stanley Cup Final. Not only are the Oilers down 2-0 in the series, the Panthers have effectively shut down the team's biggest advantage of having two of the best offensive players in the world in Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl. The Oilers have just one goal in two games, which was scored by defenceman Mattias Ekholm.

Following last night's game at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Florida, and fan of the Edmonton Oilers was clearly in a bad move while leaving the building. The fan, who was sporting a McDavid jersey, could be seen arguing with someone, and then has to be held back by friends from going after him. After an exchange of profanities, the Oilers fan then turns his attention to the person filming the incident, knocking him to the floor.

Now word on whether any arrests were made or whether the Oilers fan suffered any retaliation. The Cup Final now heads to Edmonton for the next two games, where the Oilers had better hope they can get something more going, or the Panthers will be celebrating their first ever Stanley Cup win at Rogers Place.
