Florida Panthers head coach Paul Maurice is one of the more colorful characters behind an NHL bench and showed again during his post game interview, why he is amongst the league favourites.

The Boston Bruins fought off elimination winning a tight 2-1 contest in Game 5 against the Panthers. After the game, Florida's head coach Paul Maurice justified his rant saying his team was short on profanity.

"I don't know the exact words of the message. I wasn't mad at them. I understood what they were going through. I just thought they needed some profanity in their life, and I brought some," Maurice explained postgame. "I don't excel at a lot of things in life, but f*ck me, am I good at that."

Whatever Maurice conveyed to the group seemed to work because on the very next shift, Sam Reinhart scored his fifth of the playoffs to even the score at 1-1. Four minutes later, Charlie McAvoy would score to put the Bruins ahead in the game for good.

With the Panthers failing to close out the series on home ice on Tuesday, things now shift back to TD Garden in Boston, where Maurice believes, will be quite a show for the fans.

"It's gonna be an absolute barn burner in there. There'll be 18,000 cameras on the morning skate just to see how many sips of the water bottle Brad Marchand takes," Maurice said. "There's going to be some high-end investigative journalism. Guys, go home and get a nap because you've got some shit to do in a couple days."

Boston's captain Marchand has missed Game 4 and Game 5 with an upper-body injury, after taking a questionable hit from Panthers Bennett.

Game 6 will be played on Friday.
