Los Angeles Kings reportedly considering uniform change next season
The National Hockey League will be changing uniform suppliers next season, with Fanatics taking over from Adidas and initially, it was expected that no teams would have new uniforms, at least for 2024-25.
Going back to the start of the Adidas era, which was the 2017-18 season, teams were only allowed to have a home and away set before alternate jerseys returned the following year and that is likely going to be the case again, but there is at least one team that is reportedly considering making a change.
According to Mayor's Manor, the Los Angeles Kings are reportedly exploring the possibility of making a uniform change as early as next season.
They went on to add that the most likely scenario would be that the Kings will make their current 1990s throwback alternate uniform their new away jersey, while adding a black uniform to wear at home at Crypto.com Arena.
From everything we're hearing, it's sounding more and more like the Kings are leaning toward the latter option � meaning they'll be returning to the '90s era crest as their primary logo next season." Mayor's Manor said.
The Kings were also doing TV testing on new uniforms on Wednesday and among the ideas that came to life on the ice was keeping their current uniforms, but changing up the font and font colour, including one that featured silver, a nod to the 1990s.
