A mistake on the scoresheet during a game tonight between the Florida Panthers and Minnesota Wild caused some fans to seek answers

Everyone makes mistakes sometimes. Luckily, most of use don't have thousands of people following our every move.

Many fans were left confused tonight during the game between the Minnesota Wild and Florida Panthers due to the official score sheet. The Wild were given a bench minor for what was entered as "Coach or Manager on the Ice."

The same entry was clearly getting out to people across multiple apps who were following the official calls on the ice, and questions started being asked.

"Did someone actually step on the ice?"

"What is a manager or coach on ice? The broadcast missed it?"

Enough people asked about the call that Minnesota Wild reporter Michael Russo contacted the league to see what had happened. Turns out, it was an error made on the scoresheet by an off-ice official.

"League thinks off-ice official entered it wrong. No indication anybody went on ice. Maybe [Wild coach John] Hynes got a bench minor upset [Brandon] Duhaime got penalty off the faceoff with [Ryan] Lomberg."

The scoresheet has since been changed to a too many men on the ice call against the Wild, which was served by Mats Zuccarello. It's still not clear if that is actually the correct entry.
