Matt Duchene loses part of his finger
Hockey players are some of the toughest people on the planet, bar none. There's a lot of sacrifice that comes with playing the game and sometimes, what one has to go through is both incredibly painful and at this point, expected. Especially if you play in the National Hockey League.
Case in point, Nashville Predators forward Matt Duchene recently revealed a gruesome injury he suffered last week while blocking a shot, take a look:
When Duchene took off his glove after blocking the shot, the tip of his finger was still inside the glove
The incident happened in a game against the Toronto Maple Leafs on March 26th and Duchene hasn't played since.
Duchene, 32, has played in 71 games for the Predators this season, tallying 22 goals and 34 assists for a total of 56 points. This once again proves that hockey players are a different kind of person when it comes to toughness.
