Massive fight breaks out in the crowd of the Devils-Flyers game
Division rival Philadelphia Flyers and New Jersey Devils went to battle yesterday with the Flyers being the only team left in the playoff chase. It was a tight checking affair that Philadelphia came out on top of, to keep their slim playoff hopes alive.
Flyers forward Travis Konecny scored his 33rd of the season which turned out to be the only goal of the game as Philadelphia would go on to win 1-0. The Flyers sit on point back of the final Wild Card position with only one game left on their schedule, a must win game against the Washington Capitals on Tuesday.
The heated rivalry didn't stop on the ice, as a section of the crowd erupting into a huge fight. It came to a head, when a middle aged man with glasses began punching a fan in a Devils jersey. The New Jersey fan who was on the receiving end didn't stop mouthing off. As the Devils fan was getting escorted out by security he was grabbed once again by the man with glasses who wanted to inflict some more punishment on the brash younger gentleman.
To the younger gentleman's credit he was able to get off a series of shots his more senior opposition once he recovered from the fall.
I hope they both enjoyed they live arena experience because there is a good chance they will both be banned with other punishments likely.
