Shortly after leaving the Toronto Maple Leafs, Kyle Dubas was hired by the Pittsburgh Penguins to become their new President of Hockey Operations.

Rumours were swirling on whether Dubas would assume the vacant General Manager position as well or if the Penguins would do an external search, but we finally have found out what Pittsburgh will be doing.

On Thursday, the Penguins announced several moves within the organization, one of which was naming Kyle Dubas as the team's 12th General Manager in franchise history.

Dubas has been very busy this summer so far, with numerous free agent signings including Ryan Graves, Lars Eller, Noel Acciari, among others. He also acquired Reilly Smith from the Vegas Golden Knights and is in the running for Sharks defenceman Erik Karlsson.

Among the other moves Pittsburgh made within the organization on Thursday were promoting U.S. Olympian Amanda Kessel and former NHL defenceman Trevor Daley to special assistants to the president of hockey operations and GM.

The Penguins missed the Stanley Cup Playoffs this past season for the first time since 2006. Do you think Kyle Dubas will help the team return there in 2024? Let us know what you think in the poll below!
