Pittsburgh Penguins inform multiple candidates they're out of the race to be their next General Manager
After terminating the contracts or Brian Burke and Ron Hextall, the Pittsburgh Penguins began their search for a new President of Hockey Operations and General Manager. The Penguins began an exhaustive search that saw them interview at least a dozen candidates.
After opening up a second round of interviews the Penguins have reportedly informed at least 4 candidates they are no longer in the running.
LeBrun on Insider Trading reports Peter Chiarelli (STL), Marc Bergevin (LA), Eric Tulsky (CAR) and Dan MacKinnon (NJ) are OUT of the mix for the Pittsburgh Penguins GM position.
Eric Tulsky was considered to be the leading candidate in the proceedings. However, with the Maple Leafs termination of Kyle Dubas it appears he could be the latest favorite. Many expect a final decision from the Penguins very shortly.
