Dan Bylsma will become the second head coach in Seattle Kraken history and although he's seven years between NHL head coaching jobs, the fifty-three year old still has some unfinished business to take care of before getting to work with his new team.
Bylsma who is currently coaching the Coachella Firebirds in the AHL Western Conference finals won the Stanley Cup with the Pittsburgh Penguins in June of 2009 and by all accounts has the ability to coach a team that is filled with young up and coming players and well as veterans who have been around the league for a while.
What is apparent is how no nonsense general Manager Ron Francis is. He is the type of executive that expects results and wouldn't bring someone in that he doesn't believe wouldn't be able to do the job. The Kraken who exceeded expectations last season expect to get back to that point rather soon and it's obvious that Francis and Co believe that Bylsma is the guy for the job.
