Over the summer and into the new National Hockey League season Mikhail Sergachev of the Tampa Bay Lightning had been running his mouth in the media, mainly targeting the Toronto Maple Leafs and their fans.
The season to this point hasn't been going as planned for Sergachev and he's been blasted for his poor performance online, so much so in fact that he's had to deactivate his social media; take a look.
Sergachev, 25 has just 8 points in 16 games for the Lightning this season all of which are assists.
While being called out for poor performance is something that should be done, if fans did cross the line that is never okay, however as the above suggests he was only criticized based on his on ice performance to this point.
If that truly is the case, maybe this is karma for him running his mouth in the media every chance he got.
In all seriousness though, if people were using hateful or offensive language that is never okay and should be condemned at every turn
