It's another offseason filled with questions after another early exit from the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Speculation is already at maximum levels over the safety of Maple Leafs President Brendan Shanahan. We now have a pretty good idea of what his future holds.
According to Sportnet's Elliotte Friedman, key staff members of the Toronto Maple Leafs will meet with media on Friday. Those attending include Shanahan.
It's a vey good sign that Shanahan is staying where he is. At the same time, noticeably absent from the list in head coach Sheldon Keefe. Keefe took questons from the media today, and said he wanted to be back. That, of course, his not his decision.
Expectations have been high for the Toronto Maple Leafs since the "Core 4" was put together. However, The team continues to struggle to make it out of the first round of the playoffs, losing to the Boston Bruins in seven games this seeason.
