Craig Berube and Toronto Maple Leafs have finally hired the final member of the team's coaching staff

After much debate and multiple interviews, the Toronto Maple Leafs have officially made the decision to hire Marc Savard. This decision comes after the Maple Leafs relieved Guy Boucher of his coaching duties last week.

The Maple Leafs have made the decision to completely revamp their entire coaching staff in an attempt to finally get it through their playoff struggles. This hiring is a great move as Savard will manage the team's power play a similar role to which he had last season with the Calgary Flames.

The Leafs made the announcement on their X account this afternoon.

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced today that Marc Savard has been hired as an assistant coach. The hiring completes head coach Craig Berube's staff for the upcoming season, which includes associate Lane Lambert, assistant Mike Van Ryn, goaltending coach Curtis Sanford, and video coaches Jordan Bean and Sam Kim.

During his career Savard played in 807 regular games with the New York Rangers, Calgary Flames, Atlanta Thrashers and Boston Bruins, scoring 207 goals and 499 assists. Savard also brings a Stanley Cup on his resume which he won with the Bruins.
