Members of the Toronto Maple Leafs got an earful from head coach Craig Berube during a timeout against the LA Kings; here's what he had to tell them

Sometimes even when your team is winning, you need to get their play on the ice sorted out. That was the case last night as the Toronto Maple Leafs were taking on the LA Kings.

With the Toronto Maple Leafs beating the LA Kings 5-1 last night almost midway through the third period, the Kings scored a goal. Despite still having a three goal lead in the game with just over 10 minutes to go, Leafs head coach Craig Berube clearly didn't like what he was seeing from his players, and called a timeout to let them have it. It seemed to be the team's work ethic that Berube was concentrating on.

"Let's go to work. Gain the offensive zone and go to f--king work...Let's wake the f--k up."

Craig Berube's plea to his team seemed to work as the Toronto Maple Leafs kept the LA Kings scoreless after his speech, and ended up winning the game 6-2. Berube's mode of operation seems to be much different than former head coach Sheldon Keefe as Berube commands respect from his players and has no problem keeping everyone accountable.

Trade speculation heated up last night in advance of the Toronto Maple Leafs-LA Kings game as it was noted that Dallas Stars GM Jim Nill was in attendance. Over the past few months, several members of the Maple Leafs have been rumoured to be up on the block, including Timothy Liljegren, Calle Jarnkrok, Nick Robertson, and Conor Timmons. There were a total of 14 representatives from other teams taking in the Leafs-Kings matchup.
