Toronto Maple Leafs defenceman Morgan Rielly and his wife, Olympic figure skater Tessa Virtue have welcomed their first child, a son named McCormick Rielly.
The Canadian power couple shared some photos of their beach vacation back in May, which included a little baby bump in one of the pictures, confirming that the couple was expecting their first child.
The couple have preferred to keep their private life low-profile, rarely sharing many posts on their social media accounts.
Rielly, 30, and Virtue, 35, got married in 2023 after first appearing in the public eye back in 2020.
Virtue retired from competitive skating shortly after the 2018 Winter Olympics, having won three gold and two silver medals in her Olympic career alongside Scott Moir, as well as seven world championship medals (three golds, three silvers and one bronze).
Since her retirement, Virtue has appeared as a commentator with Moir on CBC's 2022 Olympics coverage and made special media and charity appearances across the country.
Drafted 5th overall during the 2012 NHL Draft, Rielly has spent his entire eleven year career with the Toronto Maple Leafs. Rielly signed an eight-year, $60M deal deal with Toronto in October 2021.
Congratulations to Morgan and Tessa on the arrival of McCormick Rielly!
