Quinn Hughes' Agent Shares Four Nations Update Canucks Fans Won't Like
Quinn Hughes' agent JP Barry revealed what the Canucks captain is planning for the Four Nations tournament.
Canada, Finland, Sweden, and the United States will be facing off later this month with the best NHL players from each country competing in the Four Nations tournament.
Canucks captain Quinn Hughes is expected to participate for the USA and will be one of the country's most important players.
However, Hughes has reportedly been dealing with multiple nagging injuries that may inhibit his ability to play at the tournament.
After all, he was a late scratch last night as the Canucks lost to the Detroit Red Wings in overtime.
That being said, Hughes' agent JP Barry has gone on the record stating that the Canucks captain fully intends on playing at the tournament.
Canucks fans do not seem to be particularly happy about this news.
It seems that many would rather see the team's leading scorer take some time off to rest his body and prepare for the rest of the NHL season.
After all, two weeks off would go a long way to helping most NHL players at this point in the season and Hughes is particularly banged up right now.
Furthermore, the Canucks are currently in quite a predicament. The team currently is outside the playoffs with 57 points through 52 games.
The team is just 4-5-1 over their last ten and they continue to deal with the fallout of the JT Miller trade.
Even Hughes himself seems to be upset with the way the team handled the situation between Miller and Pettersson.
Hopefully if Hughes does participate in the tournament he won't make his injuries any worse. If he does both he and the Canucks will likely regret it.
