T.J. Oshie Welcomes Top Three Pick to the NHL With a Massive Hit
Welcome to the NHL, kid.
That seems to be what many are thinking after T.J. Oshie, a guy with almost 1000 NHL games under his belt, decided to run over a top prospect from the league's latest draft. Adam Fantilli, the third overall pick in 2023 of the Columbus Blue Jackets, had taken the puck down the ice and was looking to get it deep. Unfortunately for him, he took his eye off the veteran, and Oshie made him pay with a massive, clean hit. Here are a couple of different angles.
Blue Jackets captain Boone Jenner took exception to Oshie's hit, and a scrum would break out in the corner.
Fantilli got up by himself and does appear to be ok. I bet he'll keep a closer eye on Oshie the next time to two teams meet.
