Tom Wilson shows off gruesome injury to his hand after punching a visor
When it comes to Washington Capitals forward Tom Wilson, many fans either love Wilson's play or they hate him. Wilson's physical play and tough presence makes him tough to play against. One of those guys you love to have on your team but hate to play against. You can't question Tom Wilson's determination, competitiveness, or his toughness. Especially after this week's game.
Earlier in the week, Wilson fought Ducks defender Nathan Beaulieu. After destroying his own hand in the fight from hitting Beaulieu's visor, Wilson left the game for some repairs but, after going off for some treatment he came right back to the game and scored the overtime winner. You really can't questions Wilson's commitment to his team or his competitiveness. Wilson injures his hand and still manages to return to the game and win it for Washington. Wilson has been providing the Capitals with gutsy performances for the last ten consecutive seasons. He is his a vital and key piece for the Washington Capitals. Any NHL franchise would love to have this guy on their roster.
This just goes to show you, Wilson is one of the toughest guys in the league who plays through nearly everything as long as he's able to skate.
