Winnipeg Jets avoid arbitration with former first-round pick
According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, the Winnipeg Jets have avoided arbitration with newly-acquired forward Gabriel Vilardi.
Friedman is reporting that Vilardi's deal with the Winnipeg Jets is for two years and worth a total of $6.875 million ($3.4375 million AAV).
Vilardi, a former first-round pick, was traded to the Winnipeg Jets alongside Alex Iafallo, Rasmus Kupari and a 2024 second-round pick in exchange for Pierre-Luc Dubois, who signed an eight-year contract with Los Angeles after the move.
The Kingston, Ontario native has appeared in 152 games in the NHL thus far, recording 78 points (41 goals, 37 assists), 63 penalty minutes and is a minus-three.
