Two Projected First Round Picks Thrown Down In WHL Fight
Calgary Flames legend and Hall of Famer Jarome Iginla did all the things to make him a fan favorite during his time in the NHL. He had a bullet of a shot, delivered big hits, and stuck up for his teams when needed by dropping the gloves.
Jarome's son Tij appears to have those same qualities in his game. The 17 year old is a projected first round pick in the upcoming draft next June. Tij has been tearing up the WHL so far this season while playing for the Kelowna Rockets. In 14 games played he has scored an impressive 13 goals and 21 points.
On Friday night, Tij's Rockets were on the losing end of an 8-5 defeat at the hands of the Spokane Chiefs. During the game Tij and fellow prospect Berkly Catton got tangled up after the play ended. The pair ended up dropping the gloves with each landing some good shots in a spirited tilt.
