Montreal Canadiens lose top 6 forward for the rest of the season
Montreal Canadiens have lost Christian Dvorak for the rest of the season with a torn pectoral muscle.
Montreal Canadiens fans woke up on Thursday to some tough news. This morning the team announced that forward Christian Dvorak has suffered a torn pectoral muscle and he would require surgery.
The #habs announce that Christian Dvorak is done for the season after suffering a torn pectoral muscle. He's due to have surgery tomorrow.
Dvorak was acquired by the Canadiens two summers ago from the Arizona Coyotes and has struggled to find a spot with the Habs. In 25 games this season, Dvorak has just 3 goals and 4 assists. Hopefully the forward can have a quick and speedy recovery.
Dvorak has one more year remaining on his current deal paying him $4,450,000 per season. This loss is another tough blow for the Habs who had looked to be making a play for a potential playoff spot.
