Montreal Canadiens worst fears are confirmed for Kirby Dach
On Saturday night Montreal Canadiens forward Kirby Dach left the game after a collision with jarred Tinordi. The hit sent Dach into the Blackhawks bench and he was clearly shaken up. He'd return to the Canadiens bench and he would not return.
News began to leak earlier that the diagnosis for Dach was not a positive one. Eric Engels initially reported this morning that the injury was expected to keep Dach out long-term, now the definition of long-term is becoming more clear.
Initial word I'm receiving on Canadiens' Kirby Dach is he has a torn ACL+torn MCL in his knee. There are more tests being done, and we'll wait for Habs to officially confirm once they're received all the info, but this puts Dach's season at risk if it ends up being the case
It now appears that Dach will be forced to undergo season ending surgery, which just adds to the long list of injuries he's had to battle since being drafted.
