NHL Department of Player Safety announces hearing after Thursday night action
After a busy Thursday night of hockey, George Parros woke up Friday morning and announced that AJ Greer has been summoned for a hearing later today. During last night's game between the Montreal Canadiens and Boston Bruins Greer delivered a cross check into the face of Mike Hoffman on a face-off.
The blow sent Hoffman, staggering and Greer found himself ejected from the game.
The Bruins only surrendered one goal on the 5 minute major and went on to win the game 4-2. It is likely that Greer will see a two game suspension for this action which aligns with other suspensions given out this season.
