Scary scene in Nashville as forward takes slapshot to the head
Today, the National Hockey League season begins and the first game of the 2023-24 season is well underway as the Tampa Bay Lightning take on the Nashville Predators.
With the second period winding down and the Predators in the offensive zone, defender Tyson Barrie takes a shot from the point and hits forward Cody Glass on the side of the head as he was fighting for position in front of the net: take a look
Bit of a scary moment here as Cody Glass takes a one-timer from the point right off the head. Trainer came out onto the ice and Glass was able to get up under his own power, but needed some help getting off the ice.
This incident occurred late in the second period and although Glass appeared to get up under his own power, he did need help skating off the ice and going down the tunnel.
At the end of the second period the score is tied 1-1 and Glass has not returned to the game.
