With the World Junior Championships in full swing, Canada didn't get off to the start they would've hoped for and with that, the hits keep on coming.
With Canada taking on Germany, early in the game a German player absolutely destroys Canadian forward Adam Fantilli, take a look:
Fantilli tries to cut across the middle of the ice to change the lane for a shot and gets an elbow right in the jaw for his troubles. The German player was assessed a 5 minute major for a hit to the head as well as a two minor for roughing.
Fantilli is having a rough time this tournament offensively already and he's taking a beating in the process as well.
At least this time, the call was correct on the play. The officiating in this tournament has been questionable at best.
